* These fishes were collected by me "Dr Basim M Al Azzawi" in October 21, 1977 from a sink hole at Sheik Hadid in Haditha, Iraq. The species lives together with another endemic blind fish ''Teyphlogara widdowsoni''. The holotype is deposited at the British Museum of Natural history and some locotypes at the Australian Museum, Sydney. I think there will be more blind fishes located about 20 km west of Hadeitha town in another sink hole. See publication "A new blind cyprinid fish from Iraq" By K.E. Banister & M.K. Bunni. ''Bull. Br. Mus.nat Hist (Zool.)''38 (3): 151-158
